National Grid’s CEO visiting Shurton site

September 15, 2020

The team at Shurton recently had a prominent visit from John Pettigrew, CEO, National Grid and James Goode, Project Director, Hinkley Connection Project, National Grid.

The visit was a great success and we had a very good opportunity to display everything we are as Linxon and demonstrate how we live our values. Of course, our recently reached 500 perfect days was one of the highlights along with an overview presentation of the site construction progress over the past 12 months and a site walk which concluded with a visit to the award-winning wellbeing garden.

“It was an honour for Linxon to host John and James and we really hope they both got a feel for the sense of pride and passion both National Grid and Linxon Project teams have for safety and on time delivery of the project”, said Jon Downs, General manager of Linxon UK.

“I got to see a number of achievements on the site’s progress and get a clear sense of collaboration, which is a credit to both the National Grid and Linxon teams”, John Pettigrew commented.

James Goode summarised the day to both the National Grid and Linxon teams by stating “You should all be immensely proud what you achieved over the last 12 months at Shurton”.
