Two substations in Bahrain successfully energized by Linxon

Linxon in Bahrain have successfully energized the 220/66/11 kV BSP Sahel-Al- Zallaq and Janoob Madinat Hamad.

Electricity & water Authority awarded these contracts with scope supply, installation and testing commissioning of 220 kV & 66 KV GIS equipment’s, 21 kV & 11 KV systems with HV cables, associated protection panels, battery system and remote end works.

Sahel Al Zallaq  

The Electricity & Water Authority (EWA) of Kingdom of Bahrain has decided to construct additional capacity on their electricity transmission network to service a high profile development in the southern part of the Kingdom. This has been achieved through a major project known as “Establishment of Sahel Al Zallaq 220 kV BSP”.

Linxon provided the complete engineering, procurement, installation, testing & commissioning of 220 kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) 66 kV GIS, 21/11 kV switchgears, integrated control system (ICS), control & protection system, high voltage / medium voltage and low voltage cables and relevant terminations, auxiliary power supplies, including house transformer 11 kV/400 V, standby diesel generator and earthing/earth grid works.

Janoob Madinat Hamad  

Due to the natural growth of electricity demand in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Electricity & Water Authority (EWA) has decided to construct additional capacity on their electricity transmission network to service this demand. This will be achieved through a major project known as “220 kV & 66 kV Transmission Development 2012-2016”. As part of this project, Linxon provided for Janoob Madinat Hamad 220kV BSP, the complete engineering, procurement, installation, testing & commissioning of 220 kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), 66 kV gas insulated switchgear, 21/11kV switchgears, integrated control system (ICS), control & protection system, high voltage / medium voltage and low voltage cables and relevant terminations, auxiliary power supplies, including house transformer 11 kV/400 V, standby diesel generator and earthing/earth grid works.
